First there was Disney. What's the logical extension of that theme park legacy?

It's THE SLAVE FOR A DAY AMUSEMENT PARK IN SUNNY HAITI!!!

Theme park's 'slave for a day' event
A theme park where visitors 'play' the role of a slave could soon be a reality for guilt-ridden Europeans wanting to come to terms with their ancestors' brutality.
Memory Village will allow visitors to be bound and tortured at a resort in Haiti, which was a slave nation before becoming the world's first black republic.
Tourists can play the part of a slave for 12 hours, in which they get a feel for the hardship endured in the Latin American country more than 200 years ago.

I came across this material several years ago and I have never forgotten it. My copy of it was misplaced during a move and I wondered if I would ever get it back. It's a narrative written by Derrick Bell, a law professor. The title is "The Space Traders' Solution". Big Huge hat tip and appreciation to Prometheus 6, who located this reprint from the University of Texas Law School.

Synopsis:
“The Space Traders’ Solution” is a racial parable written in science fiction form. In summary, on New Year’s Day in the year 2000, great waves of huge vessels descend on the United States and their extraterrestrial leaders announce they are here to make a trade offer: Give up all African-Americans and in return they will leave for America the contents of their ships—enough gold to retire the national debt, a magic chemical that will cleanse America’s polluted skies and waters, and a limitless source of safe energy to replace our dwindling reserves. Following roughly two weeks to consider the offer, heated public debate leads to a referendum that when approved, consigns all blacks to the traders."


You may think it's a spoiler to give away the end result of the narrative, but I assure you, all the meat and potatoes are in the middle.
